ACF Partner Develops New Partnership with Acadiana Needs

Jun 21, 2023

Another Child continues to develop relationships with like-minded organizations. ACF feels God has called us to come along side of other smaller non-profits to do Kingdom work whenever and wherever he calls.

In June ACF donated 180 pair of shoes and over 1500 food packs to be deliver to the homeless people living in Lafayette, Louisiana. Many of the people served were children who live in abandoned hotels, underneath bridges and other unsafe areas of the city.

This aid was delivered to Tiffany and Kelly. These 2 ladies are Acadiana Needs. ACF Director Tim Oloffson had the privilege of meeting these 2 wonderful ladies in Lafayette in June. “When they shared their stories I was moved to help them in any way we could”, said Tim. “We had some new shoes that we couldn’t use in our children’s ministry so I decided to give them to Acadiana Needs to deliver to the homeless they feel called to serve. They are a tremendous pair and have a heart to serve Jesus.”

John Frank Reeve, who is the Another Child representative in Lafayette shared that these 2 ladies cook 400 meals each week out of Tiffany’s home. John Frank had the joy of going out into the community to serve these meals earlier in the year. He was shocked by the conditions he saw but was even more surprised by the impact these 2 ladies are having on the homeless population in Lafayette.

Tiffany and Kelly will pray and discuss faith and sobriety with their clients regularly. They have brought many to Christ who are now clean and living independently. Kelly herself was receiving help from Tiffany before she was saved. She now professes her faith loudly to everyone she meets.

John Frank says he is looking forward to many more opportunities to collaborate with other non-profits in the Acadiana area of Louisiana. ACF is blessed to serve God “across the street and around the world.” God is good all the time and all the time God is good!
