WHAT IS ONEDAY?
The ONEDAY23 event is our vehicle for combating spiritual and economic poverty. It is an annual birthday celebration for Jesus honoring the homeless and impoverished in Acadiana held this year at Landmark Church on Willow Street. With our partner, Operation Care International in Dallas, TX, this event is happening in December literally around the world and draws thousands to a central location allowing us to connect our guests to our advocate with our partners on a large and efficient scale that will help them escape homelessness and poverty.
SHOW LOVE
By washing the feet and supplying shoes, socks, food, haircuts, counseling, and many other resources to our homeless community we share the character of Christ. On December 16, 2023, Another Child Foundation along with many nonprofits and churches in Acadiana; and with our partner, Operation Care International, the ONEDAY23 movement will continue towards its goal of reaching all 50 states and 195 countries.
SHARE HOPE
CELEBRATE JESUS
On the evening of December 16, 2023, at the Landmark Church we will have an Celebration led by the worship team at Landmark Church and live-streamed with Evangelist Nick Vujicic. Other evangelists include Nicky Cruz and Dr. Tony Evans. Our goal is to proclaim Jesus to more than one million people via a historic, digital livestream, which will be rebroadcasted on Christmas Eve.
We are asking for corporate and church sponsors to join with us in this effort to help hundreds of homeless families and children in Acadiana. Along, with monetary donations to cover the costs of publicity and a tent for the event and portable restroom facilities we are seeking:
200 – New Coat Sizes needed for man – Large, 1X, 2X and 3X
150 – New – Athletic Shoe sizes needed for women – 7 -10
150 – New – Athletic Shoe sizes needed for men – 7 – 16
200 – New Adult size sleeping bags
New Toys for children ages 3 to 14 (Tonka Toys, Dolls, Balls – Basketballs, Soccer, baseballs and gloves, Nerf, Frisbees, Spinners, Cars – trucks, remote, all types)
Food donations for lunch service day of event
