Here is a very special story of a woman loved by everyone! She in fondly know as Ms. Rita. A true heart of gold and a smile to match. As mission teams arrive at the Point of Hope Center Ms. Rita always welcomes they with a huge smile and a friendly American ‘Hello”. Team members quickly love her, as her love for the children attending the Point of Hope is very evident. People appreciate her hard work, as the Point of Hope always appears spotless. The cleanliness of the POH is always shocking to people considering the community all around the center is dirty. Ms. Rita is also known for her dedication. Always being there to help wherever help is needed. Ms. Rita has recently retired from being the custodian of the POH. She worked at the center for 12 years before her health told her it was time for her to take care of herself. Every day she ensured the environment that each children learn in is clean and optimal for carrying out all activities. Throughout this period, she was the contact person with the community, because she is also part of the gypsy community. Together with the POH team, she contributed to the transformation of these children’s lives by offering a lot of love, affection and empathy.
