Ioana sat on the edge of her bed, holding a postcard from her best friend Sabina, who was away at summer camp. She read the words aloud to herself again, feeling a mix of excitement and longing.

“Last year Sabina got to go to camp and she said it was so much fun. She got to do things she had never done before. I hope I get the chance to go to camp someday. Maybe this year!” Ioana imagined the wide open spaces and the sound of laughter. She smiled at the thought. Maybe this summer, it would be her turn.

But as she thought about the adventures ahead, she also realized that she needed to explore and strengthen her faith in Jesus. It was something she hadn’t focused on as much as she would have, and she hoped that, no matter what, God would guide her through every step of this new season.
