Romania VBS!!

Aug 12, 2024

The most recent Another Child mission trip was a team of 12 people from Cumberland Fellowship Church. It was an incredible adventure for this team. They traveled all the way to Romania to help 40 kids from our Point of Hope Center. The focus of this trip was to take these kids to the beautiful camp Harghita Christian Camp for a week full of fun and learning about Jesus.

Before the camp began, the mission team spent a special day in Tarnaveni, where the Point of Hope Center is located. This was a very important part of their trip. They got to meet even more kids who come to the center and also visited their homes.

The team saw firsthand how these families lived. The homes were often small and simple, and the team was touched by the conditions in which the children and their families were living. This experience opened their eyes to the challenges the families faced and made them even more determined to make a difference.

After this special day, the team took the 40 kids to Harghita Christian Camp. The camp was surrounded by beautiful mountains, making it the perfect spot for a week of adventure and learning. Each morning, the team held a Vacation Bible School (VBS) for the kids. VBS is a fun and exciting way for kids to learn about God through stories, songs, and activities. The kids loved it, and it was a great start to their days.

In the afternoons, the team organized faith-building activities. These activities helped the kids think more deeply about their beliefs and grow closer to Jesus. They were designed to be both educational and enjoyable, helping the kids learn more about their faith in a fun way.
The evenings at the camp were filled with laughter and bonding. The team and the kids played games, sang songs, and enjoyed each other’s company. This time together helped everyone feel closer as friends and as a Christian community.

By the end of the week, the kids had not only learned about Jesus but also made new friends and had a lot of fun. The mission team returned home with hearts full of joy, knowing they had made a positive impact on the lives of the children and their families. The trip was a wonderful experience for everyoneinvolved, and it showed how sharing love and faith can make a big difference.
