Last week we shared a couple of trip highlights from team leader, and ACF executive director, Tim Oloffson from the Mission Trip to Guatemala in November. Another team member shared a couple, of his many, revered moments he experienced on the trip:
“We had visited a woman and her son and daughter in Tactic on Wednesday. We had a nice visit, and they gave us tea to drink. The next morning, as we started leaving Tactic, we pulled into a gas station parking lot, and this family was waiting there for us. The son and daughter –Javier and Debora – had created drawings for each member of our team! What a nice, unexpected, surprise! I will always cherish these drawings!”
Throughout the week, the ACF team members were accompanied by members of the Impact Ministries team in Guatemala…“I had a lot of fun getting to know Julio (IM’s team leader), Edgar (IM’s translator), and Juan (IM’s bus driver). They helped me feel comfortable and made the daily activities more exciting. They called me ‘Gregorio’ and tolerated my limited Spanish. For me, they were a big part of making the visit more personal and enjoyable!” —Greg J.
