The Another Child mission team recently returned from an impactful trip to Tactic, Guatemala, where they served from June 7 to June 17. This adventure was filled with hard work, heartwarming moments, and lots of giving.
One of the main tasks for the team was building a big, heavy concrete wall. It was tough work that made their muscles sore and backs ache, but they never gave up. The wall they built will help the community for years to come.
Another important job was organizing a Vacation Bible School (VBS) at the Vida Chamche School. Over three days, they played games, sang songs, and taught Bible stories to 80 excited children. The team loved getting to know these kids and making new friends.
But perhaps the most special part of the trip was the Give Poverty the Boot campaign. Thanks to generous sponsors, the team distributed 500 pairs of new rain boots to children in need. These boots will keep their feet dry and healthy during Guatemala’s rainy season.
The Another Child team didn’t just work hard physically—they also grew spiritually. They shared their faith with the children and families they met, spreading love and kindness wherever they went.
All the team members agree: this trip was life-changing. They’re grateful for the chance to serve others and give all the thanks and glory to God for guiding them every step of the way.
In the end, the mission trip wasn’t just about building walls and giving out boots—it was about building relationships and spreading joy. The Another Child team can’t wait for their next adventure in their churches and communities, knowing that for 10 days they made a difference in the lives of the people of Tactic, Guatemala.
