Easter at Point of Hope in Romania

Jun 7, 2022

This Easter we had the joy to serve the 105 families of the children registered with POH through grocery distribution and through teaching them spiritual truths. The mothers of the children were invited to come to POH and took part in a special time of prayer and meditation on the true meaning of Easter, led by pastor Marius Petric. They talked about the events leading up to the crucifixion and to the resurrection, about the sinful nature of human beings and their need to be forgiven and redeemed. The mothers were encouraged to really think about what Jesus accomplished for them through His death and resurrection. They were also encouraged to make sure that their families celebrate in the true spirit of the holiday and that they spend quality time together.

The mothers were very receptive and they enjoyed spending time together. They appreciate the support and help POH offers, the care and education their children receive every day, as well as the practical help they are offered through the grocery bags they were given both at Christmas and now at Easter. The mothers realize that their children have a chance for a better future and that their families’ lives have changed for the better since the ministry of POH started in the community. They are thankful to both the POH staff and all the supporters who pray for and invest in their wellbeing.
