ACF Hosts Backpack Packing Party!

Jul 15, 2020

On Wednesday, July 22 we will be asking for volunteers to come to the missions office in Princeton, Illinois to help back 500 backpacks with essential school supplies for at-risk students this fall.

The volunteers will be responsible for moving throughout the room picking up designated supplies for the 6 area elementary schools that will be helped this year. The volunteers will also be packing extra bags so that when other schools join the effort filled backpacks will already ready to distribute.

The goal was to have a Back-to-School Bash with fun activities, food and the distribution of the backpacks. However, with the COVID-19 pandemic and CDC safety guidelines limiting the gathering of people it was decided to have the school administrators and teachers distribute the supplies this year.

If you know of any elementary school who would benefit in being part of this new and exciting program please let us know by contacting the ACF Director at [email protected].
