One of my favorite parts of leading this ministry is getting to share some amazing stories of transformation. Here is another wonderful story about how God is connecting His people to change the lives of children in Romania and around the world.

Last summer I had the chance to meet up with a new Christian friend in Cluj, Romania. His name is Liviu Bocaniala (far right in picture above). When we first starting talking it felt like we have known each other for a long time. There was just this instant connection and trust that God had a reason for us to be in ministry together.

Now it was trying to figure out the plan God in store for us. Liviu is a wonderful man of God. He works in prison ministry which says a lot about him right from the start. He has a wonderful wife named Camilla. They live together in Cluj, Romania which is a bit more than an hour for Tarneveni where the Point of Hope sits.

I trust that God is orchestrating something special for us to be doing together. I’m asking for your prayers for God to unveil His plans to us as we move forward. Right now it appears Liviu and his prison ministry partners are going to be helping organize all the vital humanitarian aid that God is providing here in the states.

This month we had a missionary from Romania, who lived in Cookeville, TN until he was called into the mission field, contact us about a lady who owns 17 shoe stores who is looking at donating a large amount of men’s & women’s shoes & boots. These are items we typically do not collect in our aid drives but are desperately needed by the families we serve in Romania.

So it appears we will be sending 1000’s of pairs of men’s and women’s shoes/boots to Romania and Liviu will play a critical role in the housing and distribution of these items. While I’m not sure where the story will go from here I know that God has been the conduit for this to happen. So excited to see where God leads us in the future.  -Tim Oloffson
