Project Respond
Project Respond is a 2-pronged approach to help our supporters bring humanitarian aid to the children served overseas as well as children right here in the United States. Meeting the physical and spiritual needs of children is what this program is all about.
Domestically we started providing aid to local school children. Our supporters provide backpacks filled with school supplies, hygiene kits, shoes and winter coats to local elementary schools. The goal of this program is to assist teachers provide a comfortable atmosphere in their classrooms by helping provide much-needed aid.
Internationally we send shipping containers of aid to children and their families around the world. In 2023, we hope to send aid to both Romania, Honduras and Guatemala. ACF has been sending aid to Romanian children since 2008.
Last year, ACF collected 33,182 items from 37 different churches and organizations to send to Romania and Guatemala. “It’s awesome to see support come from all parts of the country supporting the children God has called us to serve”, says ACF Director, Tim Oloffson. Over the past few years ACF has received support from, Iowa, Illinois, Louisiana and Tennessee. This year ACF anticipates 60 or more churches and organizations from four states to once again participate in the collection of this vital humanitarian aid.

The Problem
The need to provide vital and essential humanitarian aid to people around the world is critical. However, many organizations feel that he simple distribution of aid will be the remedy to the problem. This is incorrect thinking. These items need to be a simple tool to provide HOPE to a child. The underlying problem is the need to solve the root cause of poverty. ACF effectively does this by partnering with organizations rooted in the spread of Christianity.
Action Needed
The time to act is now! The goal of Project Respond is to partner with our supporters, businesses, organizations and churches to help remedy the problem mentioned above. We then search out top-notch Christian organizations or US Elementary schools that are currently trying to meet the needs of their children.
The Remedy
ACF has to goal to use the donated aid to be a blessing to many. Through our partnerships we share our goals of using the aid as a tool for spreading HOPE throughout the world.
