Another Child Foundation has faithfully answered the call to serve the children in Romania for over a decade. In recent years, we have begun to expand the vision for what this ministry can be. In the coming weeks, these posts will highlight some of these newer opportunities to serve.
Helping those in need and sharing the Gospel both begin at home, in our local communities, which is why we have launched our Noemi’s Closet initiative in the United States. With Noemi’s Closet we are distributing backpacks (filled with school supplies), as well as winter coats and boots, to our church and school partners throughout the country. These partners, usually teachers or pastors, are able to more clearly see the direct needs in their communities than we can, and so are in a better position to help.
I have many family members and friends who are teachers. I have heard many stories of them going to personal expense to ensure their classroom and/or students are properly equipped for success. Noemi’s Closet exists to help close this gap. When a teacher sees a young child with no coat, worn out shoes, or a lack of proper tools for their education, we want to equip them to be able to directly intervene.
