We’ve got some super exciting news to share with you all! You know that feeling when you’re so happy you feel like you could burst? Well, that’s exactly how we’re feeling right now!
Imagine receiving not just a few, not even a dozen, but 25 whole pallets of brand new women’s dress boots and men’s work boots! Yep, you read that right – approximately 12,000 pairs of boots! Can you believe it?
This amazing gift came from Mrs. Judy Beaty, who owns a local chain of shoe stores right here in eastern Tennessee. Mrs. Beaty had been keeping these boots in her warehouse for a while, just waiting for the perfect opportunity to share them with those in need. And boy, did she pick the perfect time!
It all started when a missionary in Romania, John Fracker, connected our Executive Director, Tim Oloffson, with Mrs. Beaty. They chatted about the idea of donating some of these boots to ministries working in Romania, and Mrs. Beaty didn’t even hesitate – she immediately agreed to send over as many pairs as we needed! Talk about generosity!
Now, here’s where things get even more incredible. You see, our processing center here in Calhoun, TN, is pretty cozy, but it’s definitely not big enough to handle sorting through 12,000 pairs of boots. So, we had to come up with a plan. And guess what? God had a plan already in place!
We decided to send the boots over to Shoes for Orphan Souls in Dallas, Texas. They’re experts at sorting and distributing shoes to those who need them most. And just like that, everything fell into place – all thanks to the amazing ways that God works behind the scenes.
It’s moments like these that remind us just how wonderful and unexpected life can be. Who would have thought that a chain of events starting in eastern Tennessee would end up providing footwear for people all the way over in Romania? Most of these boots are adult sizes, so they’ll be perfect for complimenting the ministries led by Another Child and John Fracker in Romania. They’re going to keep a lot of feet warm and stylish!
We’re beyond grateful to Mrs. Beaty, John Fracker, Tim Oloffson, and everyone else who played a part in making this incredible donation happen. And most of all, we’re grateful to God for orchestrating it all and showing us once again that His plans are always perfect.
