God’s Love in Action Through YOU!
Wow! What an amazing summer we’ve had at Another Child! Thanks to YOUR incredible support and God’s faithful provision, we were able to bless hundreds of children across Illinois and Tennessee with the supplies they need to start school with confidence and joy. Let’s look back at all the wonderful ways God worked through your generosity this year!
Cleveland, Tennessee: New Shoes Bring Big Smiles!
In Cleveland, Tennessee, something wonderful happened! Five local churches joined hands with Another Child to distribute over 500 pairs of brand-new shoes to excited children. Each child also received three pairs of socks to keep their feet comfortable all day long.
“I’ve never had new shoes for the first day of school before,” one little boy told us with the biggest smile on his face. His mother added, “This blessing means more than you know. Now my children can focus on learning instead of worrying about their worn-out shoes.”
The churches worked together beautifully, showing God’s love in action. Volunteers prayed with families, shared kind words, and made sure each child found the perfect fit. We truly saw the body of Christ working as one to serve these precious children.
One church pastor shared, “When we come together to serve, we show our community what Jesus’s love looks like in practical ways. These shoes represent so much more than footwear—they represent hope.”
We’re already planning for 2026, and with God’s blessing, we expect even bigger things next year! Our prayer is to reach 700 children in Cleveland next summer.
Walnut, Illinois: Backpacks Filled with Hope!
In Walnut, Illinois, our amazing volunteers gathered for a special mission. With joyful hearts and busy hands, they packed 700 backpacks full of school supplies like pencils, notebooks, crayons, and more.
“Each backpack we filled was a prayer for the child who would receive it,” shared one volunteer. “I imagined the smile on their face when they opened it and saw everything they needed for school.”
Through partnerships with local schools, churches, and community groups, we’re thrilled to report that ALL 700 backpacks have found their way to children who needed them! Praise God! Something as simple as a backpack can make a huge difference in a child’s confidence and ability to learn.
One school principal told us, “When children come prepared with supplies, they feel equal to their peers. Your backpacks remove barriers to learning and help our students succeed.” What a beautiful reminder that your gifts do so much more than provide supplies—they open doors to better futures!
Princeton, Illinois: Teens Step Forward in Faith!
On August 2, the wonderful team at Second Story Teen Center in Princeton opened their new facility to host another shoe distribution. Over 240 pairs of shoes and socks went home with grateful teens that day!
“When you’re a teenager, having the right shoes matters so much,” explained the Second Story director. “These teens walk taller and feel valued when they have something new to wear. We’ve seen how something as simple as new shoes can be the first step toward a teen feeling worthy of other good things in life.”
The teens themselves were both grateful and thoughtful. One 15-year-old girl said, “I know these shoes came from people who care about me even though they don’t know me. That makes me want to help others someday too.”
The best news? We still have over 200 more pairs ready to bless even more teens before summer ends!
God’s Provision Through YOUR Generosity
As we look back at these events, our hearts overflow with gratitude to God. The Bible tells us in Matthew 25:40, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Through YOUR giving, God’s love became visible in new shoes, fresh socks, and fully-stocked backpacks.
Every smile, every thank you, every tear of gratitude from a parent – these are the fruits of YOUR faithful support. When we see a child walk confidently into school with new shoes or a backpack filled with supplies, we see God’s promises fulfilled.
Proverbs 19:17 reminds us, “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.” Your generosity is not just an earthly blessing—it’s a spiritual investment that honors God.
Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus to these children. Your generosity doesn’t just provide material things – it shows these precious children that they are loved by their community and by their Heavenly Father.
We can’t wait to see how God will use Another Child in 2026 to reach even more children with His love and care!
