Excitement Builds for Romania Mission Trip: Sharing God’s Love, One Step at a Time!

Oct 10, 2025

Get ready for an incredible journey! Another Child is sending a team of 18 people from two amazing churches – Cumberland Fellowship from Crossville, TN, and Harvest Bible Church from Rock Falls, Illinois – to Romania for a life-changing mission trip!

Blessing Little Feet with God’s Love

Remember the “Blessing Little Feet with God’s Love” campaign? Thanks to your generous donations of shoes, boots, and socks, our team is packing their bags with footwear ready to bless the feet of over 700 children in need! These items, collected by our church partners, will be distributed throughout the Transylvania area.

Serving in Day Centers and Homes

Our team will be spending time at different day centers throughout Transylvania, where they’ll be distributing all the shoes, boots, and socks collected during the campaign. This includes two special days at Another Child’s Point of Hope Center in Tarneveni. They’ll be playing games, sharing stories, and most importantly, showing God’s love to the children while providing them with much-needed footwear.

But that’s not all! The team will also be visiting the homes of children who attend the Point of Hope. These home visits will allow them to connect with families, offer support, and share the hope of Jesus.

A Special Meal for Families

One of the highlights of the trip will be a special outreach event where the team will serve a meal to the families of the children who attend the Point of Hope. This is a wonderful opportunity to show these families that they are loved and valued.

Dedication of the JF Reeve Center

Sunday will be a very special day as Another Child Founder Tim Oloffson dedicates the NEW JF Reeve Center! This home, recently purchased and soon to be renovated, will be a place of refuge and support for young people in Tarneveni. The dedication ceremony will be a time of celebration and thanksgiving for God’s provision.

Exploring God’s Beautiful Creation

While serving, the team will also have the chance to experience the breathtaking scenery of the Carpathian Mountains. These majestic mountains are a reminder of God’s incredible creation and will provide a beautiful backdrop for this mission trip.

Why This Trip Matters

This mission trip is about more than just distributing shoes and serving meals. It’s about sharing the love of Jesus with over 700 children and their families in Romania. It’s about showing them that they are not forgotten and that God cares deeply for them.

How You Can Pray

As the team prepares to depart, we ask for your prayers:

  • Pray for safe travels for the team.
  • Pray for open hearts among the children and families they will be serving.
  • Pray for God to use the team to share His love and hope in a powerful way.
  • Pray for the dedication ceremony of the JF Reeve Center.

Thank you for your continued support of Another Child. Because of YOU, we can make a difference in the lives of children around the world! We can’t wait to share stories and photos from the trip when the team returns!

Every Child Deserves to Be Warm This Winter Winter in Romania is harsh. Temperatures drop well below freezing, and the biting wind cuts through anything that isn't thick and protective. For most of us, bundling up in a warm coat is second nature. But for the children...
