Narcisa’s Story

May 13, 2025

Narcisa is a bright 12-year-old girl who has faced many challenges in her young life. Living in a small house with her parents and two younger brothers, she often feels the weight of her family’s struggles. Her parents work day by day, trying to make ends meet, and her older sister lives in another town with her own family. Despite these difficulties, Narcisa’s spirit remains strong, and her journey took a remarkable turn when she discovered the Point of Hope school.

In September 2022, Narcisa walked through the doors of the Point of Hope, a special place that helps children and families in need. From the moment she arrived, she felt welcomed and safe. The staff at the Point of Hope were kind and supportive, encouraging her to get involved in various activities. Narcisa quickly joined art classes, where she learned to express herself through painting and drawing. She also participated in sports, which helped her make new friends and stay active.

At the Point of Hope, Narcisa also learned about her faith in Jesus. She learned Bible stories where caring mentors taught her about who Jesus is and how much He loves her. They explained that having a personal relationship with Jesus is important because it brings hope, joy, and strength, especially during tough times. Narcisa began to pray regularly, sharing her worries and dreams with Jesus. This practice made her feel less alone and more connected to a savior.

Since attending the Point of Hope, Narcisa has noticed a big change in her life. Her grades at school have improved, and she feels more confident in her abilities. The tutors at the Point of Hope helped her with her homework, making subjects like math and science easier to understand. Narcisa now looks forward to going to school every day.

Her family has also benefited from the Point of Hope. They received support and resources that helped them find better job opportunities. Narcisa’s parents learned new skills that allowed them to secure more stable work. This made their home happier and less stressful.

Narcisa is proud of the progress she has made, and she loves sharing her experiences with her family. She dreams of becoming an artist one day and hopes to inspire other children like her. With her faith in Jesus guiding her, Narcisa feels empowered to face any challenge. The Point of Hope has not only changed Narcisa’s life but has also brought hope and joy to her entire family.
