Kicking Off the 2026 Shoe Drive

Feb 19, 2026

As I look at the calendar and see 2026 unfolding before us, my mind goes to the thousands of children waiting for a sign that they are not forgotten. Today, I’m honored to announce the launch of our 2026 Shoe Drive—and to invite you to step into the mission with us.

Last year, together we delivered more than 5,500 pairs of new shoes and 18,000 pairs of socks to children in Romania, Guatemala and here in the United States. I still think about Ovi in Romania, who received his first-ever pair of new shoes because of your generosity. Moments like that remind me why we do this work. As I often tell our team, “My heart overflows with joy when I get the chance each year to witness and be a part of what you, our donors, see as something you love and support.”

This year, the need is even greater—and our shelves are uncomfortably bare. Our inventory is at an all- time low while requests from our partners continue to grow. We cannot send what we do not have. That’s why this launch comes with an urgent ask: help us restock now so we can reach even more children in 2026.

These aren’t just shoes. They are dignity, safety, and a daily reminder that God sees and cares. In many of the communities we serve, children walk long distances to school over rocky, muddy paths. Without sturdy footwear, they risk cuts, infections, and missed school days. “These shoes are not just about physical protection; they serve as a vital means to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with children and families who are in need of hope.” When a child laces up a brand-new pair, they’re receiving more than
comfort—they’re receiving hope.

Here’s how you can help right now:

 Give $23 to provide a high-quality pair of athletic shoes for a child ages 3–14 (up to size 7).
 Donate new, sturdy, closed-toe athletic shoes and new socks so every pair we send is complete.
 Rally your church, small group, school, or workplace to host a collection.

Timing matters. While you can run a drive whenever it fits your schedule, we’re aiming to have our first major collection ready for spring distribution. If donations arrive by April 1, they can be included in our first 2026 shipment. Additional containers will follow throughout the year, including a major shipment to Romania this summer.

I’ve stood in dusty village courtyards and watched children’s faces light up as they realize those shoes are for them. I’ve listened to mothers thank God that their children can walk to school safely. And I’ve watched attendance rise when feet are protected and dry. That’s why we’ve set a bold goal to reach even more children this year—turning low inventory into overflowing hope.

Will you help us fill the shelves again? Your gift today—whether a single pair, a monthly commitment, or a church-wide effort—moves us closer to 2,500 more smiles and beyond. Together, we can bless littlefeet with God’s love and ensure that every step these children take is a step toward a brighter, Gospel- centered future.

Thank you for standing with Another Child Foundation. Let’s make 2026 a year where no child is turned away because we ran out of shoes.

Every Child Deserves to Be Warm This Winter

Every Child Deserves to Be Warm This Winter Winter in Romania is harsh. Temperatures drop well below freezing, and the biting wind cuts through anything that isn't thick and protective. For most of us, bundling up in a warm coat is second nature. But for the children...
