What an amazing two weeks of ministry!
On July 25, Another Child held a Back to School Bash in Princeton, Illinois. Then, on August 1, we held another Back to School Bash in Cleveland, Tennessee. At both events, God showed His goodness in a big way.
These special days were full of smiles, joy, prayer, and hope. Families came ready to receive help for the new school year. Children came excited. Parents came thankful. And our volunteers came ready to serve.
At the Princeton event, children received backpacks, shoes, and socks to help them start school with confidence. At the Cleveland event, even more families were blessed with new shoes and socks. These simple items may not seem like much to some people, but they mean a lot to a child who needs them.
A backpack can help a child feel ready. A new pair of shoes can help a child walk into school with confidence. A clean pair of socks can bring comfort. These gifts are useful, but they also say something very important: You are loved. You are seen. God cares about you.
We are so thankful for the hundreds of volunteers who made these events possible. Volunteers helped unload boxes, organize supplies, welcome families, hand out backpacks, fit children for shoes, distribute socks, pray with families, and share the love of Jesus in practical ways.
Every smile, every handshake, every prayer, and every act of service mattered.
But most of all, we give thanks to God. He provided everything we needed. He provided the backpacks. He provided the shoes and socks. He provided the churches, donors, partners, and volunteers. He opened the doors. He brought the families. And He gave us the joy of serving in His name.
Our donors and volunteers were obedient to what God has called us to do. Jesus told us to love our neighbors. He taught us to care for children. He showed us how to serve people with compassion and grace. Through the Back to School Bash events, we had the chance to do exactly that.
This ministry is about more than giving away school supplies. It is about sharing the hope of Jesus Christ with families in our communities. It is about meeting real needs and pointing people to the One who loves them most.
We believe God used these events to encourage children and parents at just the right time. Some families may have come because they needed a backpack or shoes. But we pray they also left knowing they are loved by God and by His people.
To every donor, volunteer, church, and partner who helped make these events happen: thank you. Your obedience made a difference. Your generosity helped children get ready for school. Your service helped families feel supported. And your faithfulness helped shine the light of Christ in Princeton and Cleveland.
The Back to School Bash events are over, but the impact will continue. Every time a child carries that backpack or wears those shoes, we pray they remember the love they received.
God provided. His people responded. And children were blessed.
